In a world where healthcare delivery is typically fragmented among individual specialties, the Mayo Clinic – called the “place for hope where there is no hope” – practices a multi-specialty, team-based approach that has created a culture that thrives on collaboration. Ken Burns' documentary The Mayo Clinic: Faith – Hope – Science takes a timely look at how this "Medical Mecca" has met the changing demands of healthcare for 150 years, and what it can teach us about facing the challenges of patient care today.
